Tete a tete

Daffodils they are.  Five inches tall.

January 2024 a friend gave me a small pot with tete a tete daffodils in it.  They were beautiful in a cold, snowy winter.  I kept them alive after the flowers were finished and planted them in a bed with larger daffodils.  I wasn't sure if they would come back but it was worth a try.  When I drove down the driveway this week, I saw this little spot of yellow.  They came back!!

Spring has arrived in the Berkshires!!

Season and Time by Moira Blackburn had not been stitched on since December 2024.  Since I can see small stuff again she was worked on.  This section was stitched to the point that it needed to be moved.

Moved it was and that tree has sections that I have unstitched twice.  Miscounted.  It is waiting for me as I type to remove another section.  More miscounting.  That is how my day will begin, and I really hope not how it ends.

Enjoy your threads.  After I have frogged again, I will enjoy mine.  ;)

  1. Hooray for seeing the small stuff again! Love to see how you roll your project to keep it tidy. I too keep planting daffodils and other things that will come back every year down our long driveway. It is so much fun seeing pops of color where they weren't before. This year I might just drive my husband crazy with it. He is used to taking his four wheeler and tank of Round Up weed killer all the way down the drive. Now he has to abide by "no spray" zones. LOL. Hoopefully I planted the things that Round Up doesn't kill all the way if he sprays it accidentially. I can't help but go really slow driving down the driveway each day to see what is still growing, what the deer didn't eat, and what is popping! Happy stitching.

  3. So glad you can get back to your small stitching again. Perhaps the miscounting was due to the difficulty seeing. Let's hope that is fixed now too. Enjoy your stitching!

    1. Sorry to say, the miscounting was done last night. It was me not paying attention. It is fixed and still working on that tree.

  5. Those are such sweet little daffodils! Season and Time looks like a lovely project - I'm sorry it required frogging. Hope you're back on the right track soon!
